Payments
Your holiday/short-break can be booked in advance (to reserve your chosen dates) with a holding-deposit of just £100.00, but must be paid for in full EIGHT weeks before your arrival-date. Failure to pay your balance promptly may jeopardise your holiday. If you intend to pay the balance by cheque, you should allow sufficient time for it to arrive by post and to clear through the bank.
If you make a late-booking (i.e., the booking is made within 8 weeks of the start-date of your holiday/short-break) payment must be made in full at the time of confirming the booking.
Cancellation Policy
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your holiday/short-break, there are the following options:
1. You can request to postpone your holiday/short-break until a later date - that is, agree an alternative (later) start-date – subject to availability, and any necessary pricing adjustment resultant from the date-change. Every effort will be made to agree alternative dates, so that you may still take your holiday/short-break - albeit at a later date - but if no alternative start-date can be agreed, you will be offered a refund (subject to the ‘Refund Policy’ below).
2. you can request a refund - subject to our ‘Refund Policy’ (see below)
Either of these options would be available to you providing at least EIGHT weeks notice is given. If you are unable to give more than eight weeks notice, the same options will be offered to you providing that you agree to the cottage being made available again, and that it is subsequently re-booked (to someone else) for the period of your original booking. ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING.
Refund Policy
Your payment (whether a deposit, or full payment) less £50.00 to cover the administration costs, is refundable only if a minimum of EIGHT WEEKS cancellation notice is given. Any cancellations made between EIGHT and FOUR weeks before the arrival date will receive a 25% refund of the total cost paid. NO refunds will be given during the FOUR weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. This may be covered by a holiday cancellation insurance policy, which would need to be purchased independently by the holiday-maker at their discretion.
Damage Deposits
A Damage Deposit in the form of a (separate) cheque, to the value of £100.00, is to be provided prior to your arrival. The cheque will be returned, uncashed, by post within 14 days of departure providing no deductions are necessary to cover additional cleaning, breakages, or damage to the property, fixtures & fittings or the contents. In the unlikely event of damage, etc., being caused, you should report the details immediately so that appropriate action may be taken to rectify the situation without delay.
Liability
We, as owners, and our employees/agents, shall not be liable to any person for personal injury, loss of, or damage to property however caused or sustained.
Complaints Policy
If you should have any concerns or experience any difficulties during your stay, the matter(s) should be raised IMMEDIATELY with us. Every effort will be made to ensure that any difficulties are resolved to the full satisfaction of all parties, and the enjoyment of your holiday is not affected adversely.
HOLIDAY LICENCE
This is a binding contract between the holidaymaker and the owner of the holiday accommodation. It is a LICENCE to use the property as HOLIDAY accommodation only, and only for the duration stated, and with the agreement of certain conditions in the use of the property. |
